"On my trip to Panama this past August 2006, I was a passenger on your boat, the Pacific Queen, for a partial transit of the Panama Canal. I took my 9-year old, Panamanian niece with me, and we both felt we had the experience of a lifetime. Your staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable, as well as friendly and courteous. The guide was so well-informed about the details of the Canal, and did a great job of communicating the information in an interesting way in both English and Spanish. The buffet was served in such an organized manner, and the food was delicious. Thank you very much and I would be happy to talk to anyone considering taking your Full Transit Tour as it exceeded our best expectations. I think it is better than going through on a cruise ship as you can move around your boat much more easily and get a better understanding of how the canal works. Also looking up at the big ships is awesome. All the crew on the boat was wonderful, too, and also the guide -- very well informed.

Dear Ana Marie,
We just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had on the Pacific Queen on Thursday, 8 March 2007, with our dear 85 year old Tio Harold and Tia Mary Alice who had come to visit for the week (it was also their first trip ever outside the USA!). What a great time we had all week including Amador, Casco Viejo, Cerro Ancon, MIraflores Locks and Visitor Center, the Panama Canal Railroad train to Colon, Gatun Locks, Summit Gardens, Restaurante LasTinajas and then the TRANSIT!
When we were able to work it out with Captain Carlos and Panama Canal Pilot Bob Bacot for our aunt and uncle (and us) to spend most of the transit up in the BRIDGE, I think my uncle thought he was in heaven! Amd then when Chief Engineer Jose Parks allowed Uncle Harold to briefly visit the engine room -- well, we could not have asked for more to make my uncle's dreams come true!
And we so much enjoyed the crew. Curtis and I are working hard to learn Spanish well and while we had a one hour wait on Miraflores Lake, there was some time for us to have a conversation with a group of crew members. We enjoyed that interchange so very much. We love the ocean and we are avid scuba divers and underwater naturalists, so it was especially fun sharing our thoughts about that and about our love of Panama.
So, we just all wanted to say "thanks so very much" and we hope we meet one day. We have already recommended the Pacific Queen and we will continue to do so...We hope you enjoy these few photos.

Just wanted to say that thanks to your assistance, 24 of us had a wonderful time on the partial canal tour on 7/7/07. Most of the wedding party, and all of the Americans that traveled to Panama for our son's wedding really enjoyed the experience. It was a terrific start to an absolutely fabulous day.
